A Musical Life, from Melbourne to Berlin: Composer and Musical Producer Jonathan Dreyfus …

In the early days of Moving Into Music, the Pre-Schooler program operated out of venues across Melbourne. The heartland was Kew, Toorak, Ivanhoe, Camberwell, Hawthorn and East Melbourne. Jonathan Dreyfus was brought to classes in Hawthorn by his mother, a musicologist and his famous father, composer George Dreyfus. It is no surprise to find that Jonathan has followed in his father’s footsteps and forged a musical career. It is also of no surprise to learn that Jonathan has transported his musical life to Berlin. Melbourne’s reputation as a live-music metropolis is well established. Berlin’s reputation as an undisputed capital of the musical universe is well known. Berlin has always been at the heart of music-making in central Europe. Take the opportunity to check out Jonathan … learn about his life and work in one of music’s great cities.
