We offer instrumental tuition for absolute beginner to advanced students. You might be seeking music for fun and recreation or you may be looking for more serious study – to take exams or prepare for a career in music.

Our lessons are held in comfortable and quiet surroundings. We will develop your skills through an individually planned program tailored to fit your needs. Lessons are available weekdays, after-school, after-work and weekends providing many options and flexibility for students, working people and families.


Acoustic/Electric/Bass Guitar

Age: All ages: children – adults

Structure: 10 -12 weekly lessons of 30 or 60 minutes per school term

Levels: All levels: beginner – advanced

Student Materials: Tutor Workbooks chosen by the teacher from reputable courses

Venue: Unit 9/4-14 Walpole St, Kew VIC 3101

We can build playing techniques while giving you a preliminary understanding of music theory – reading notation, learning the treble clef, positions and names of notes, understanding rhythm elements and time values. We can lead you to further study and prepare you to take music exams to VCE level. We can teach you guitar to accompany ‘killer’ vocals or so that the strings do all the work.

Our guitar tuition is geared towards the individual or we can offer tuition for pairs. We can cater for any level of learner and at any stage from six year olds to adults. Tuition can be given on acoustic, electric or bass guitar.

Drums/Percussion

Whether you want to learn for fun or to achieve a serious skill level we have the drum/percussion option to suit you. We teach across all styles: popular, jazz, rock, reggae, classical, blues, Latin, fusion, folk and metal…most importantly, your style!

We will teach you to read drum music and drum charts, improve your stick techniques, co-ordination and control. We can give you all you will need for all aspects of drumming from basic techniques to complex time-keeping and rhythm section playing. We teach you on a full acoustic drum kit … but at home you can start out using a practice pad set which includes the pad, a stand and a set of sticks.

Piano/Keyboard

Age: All ages: children – adults

Structure: 10 -12 weekly of 30 or 60 minutes per school term

Levels: All levels: beginner – advanced

We can build playing techniques while giving you an understanding of music theory – from the most basic introduction to advanced musical literacy. We can prepare you for music exams at all levels right up to VCE level. We also teach many students who wish to learn for leisure.  Playing an instrument recreationally is a long held dream of many adult learners. We can help you realise the dream. Lessons can be for individuals or in pairs. We cater for all ages from five years old to adults. We take even younger learners by special arrangement after assessment for readiness. Our studios are equipped with high quality acoustic pianos.

We teach all levels of AMEB Theory and Musicianship from Preliminary to Grade 8. Preparation for examinations through private lessons or tuition in pairs can be arranged. Preparation for the aural tests (which are part of practical examinations in all instruments) and for all grade levels is also available through our highly qualified teaching staff. Examination can be taken with a range of local systems or international systems that are easily accessible and transportable for students who may move to live overseas.

Our teachers are qualified to present students for examination. They are experienced and successful in preparing students for examination on piano, keyboard and guitar, drums and percussion, as well as theory and musicianship. In addition to traditional examination systems, we can offer preparation for assessment through contemporary examination systems across all grades from elementary to advanced studies. Examination can be taken with a range of local systems or international systems that are easily accessible and highly transportable for students who may move to live overseas.
