Tempo Rubato is a live classical music venue and bar opening on 2 June, 2019.
We work in partnership with Piano Project, a Melbourne charity that provides piano lessons for children who have recently immigrated to Australia.
The Tempo Rubato concept was borne from recitals held by Piano Project, it is an evolution of an adventure and we hope that it will continue to remodel as we open and grow.
While we are excited about how we might change and explore, our overriding goal will remain the same. We want to provide a tactile and welcoming space for people to enjoy live classical music.
We have a performance space for ticketed concerts with a 102 key Stuart & Sons concert grand piano. It is a magnificent instrument.
And a front bar which will be open before and after every concert.
The bar will also be open every Friday night, from 5pm-11pm, with live music between 8-9pm. The first Friday night front bar will be on the 7th June 2019.
The bar will always be free entry.
Any profit that we make, from all of the activities happening at Tempo Rubato, will be donated to Piano Project.
